My father suffered from this incurable illness and that is why I believe it is vital to give more visibility to the people who suffer from it and to the research to progress in this area. I help seeking to ensure a better tomorrow.

Aldeas Infantiles SOS is an international non-profit organization which takes care of children in vulnerable situations so that they can grow up to be self-sufficient, socially integrated, independent and mature. They offer children and teenagers a warm, protective environment in which lead them towards a brighter future.

One of the topics whichs draws more attention nowdays is how to preserve the environment. I took this course in University of California, Berkeley, to know what legal tools we have got in order to guarantee the future of our planet.

In such a global world, we need to draw attention to agreed common goals and achieving them!

Catalunya

I take part in it every year. It is a charity event worthy of attention!

This year's topic is minority diseases. They affect 6-8% of the world's population, and therefore they do not call much of attention. The medical community requires funding to go on investigating. On December 15th, the TV presenters will explain which are those illnesses and what they represent for those who suffer them and their families.

Universitat de Manchester

Ever since I was an undergrad, I was keen on this subject. That was why I ended up translating software tools and info. The University of Manchester offers a great insight into the subject of scientific and technical translation, thanks to Professor Maeve Olohan.

When I started translating, this was the first association I worked for. I worked pro bono translating texts which dealt with topics related to blind and deaf people and their education and integration in society. It was a truly fullfilling work!

Universitat de Valladolid

Vines and wine-making runs in the family. What can I say? This subject holds a special attraction!

Even though I never considered it either in my line of learning or professionally, when I found out there was such an interesting reading available, I could not help it. The University of Valladolid has done a wonderful job, thanks to Miguel Ibañez and María Teresa Sánchez.
